How do I book?

Email or call us to book and to confirm there are spaces . You will need to pay a non refundable deposit to confirm Party Bookings. You can do this by sending a cheque to  Pole Crazy, 6 Manor Court, Ringwood, Hants BH24 1LW. Please make cheques payable to L Dawes.

What do I wear?

Ideally bare arms and legs are recommended, so shorts and a top are best. If you don't fancy shorts you can wear loose trousers or leggings however this will restrict what you can do. Classes are taken in bare feet.

Please do not wear

Rings, bracelets, dangly earrings - these can sometimes catch and hurt you, no body lotions, oils, moisturisers etc, these make the poles very slippery and possibly dangerous

Do I need to bring anything else?

You might want to bring some water and if you wish to wear shoes for the warm up, trainers.

How big is the class?

We aim for a maximum of 3 people per pole, sometimes due to unexpected arrivals we may exceed this but we never prebook more than 18 per class. Each class has 2/3 instructors.

How many people per pole?

3 people maximum. From experience, 1 pole per person is too tiring. Sharing a pole allows students as well as practice, to watch and help each other.

Am I too old / wrong shape / unfit?

No! There is no upper age limit in the classes and all are welcome. We teach people of all ages, backgrounds, shapes and sizes.

It may be harder work than it looks, but with practice it's also an achievable skill for everyone. The atmosphere in the classes is usually friendly and supportive, rather than competitive.

I have a sports injury / heart problems / other health concerns

As with any new exercise regime, it is strongly recommended that you check with your GP first if you have any concerns. You may be required to sign a waiver / disclaimer in the first lesson.

Can I pole dance if I'm pregnant / recently given birth?

Pole dancing isn't recommended for anyone who is pregnant as it can be strenuous and dangerous for the baby. It is recommended that you allow 3 months after giving birth before you start a class.

What happens if I miss a class?

If you have paid for a class but cannot attend you're welcome to attend one of the other classes that week subject to space available. Please do contact us to check availability. You will also need to book into your class for the next week as this does not happen automatically.

We will recap new moves at the beginning of each lesson so you will be given the opportunity to catch up at your next class.

Do I have to strip and are there spectators?

No! Though pole dancing is a sensual dance form (like Salsa or Belly Dance), there is no stripping involved. Pole dancing is an impressive and spectacular enough skill in itself without the need to get your kit off! ;-)

Spectators are not allowed in classes.
